Enrichment Cafés
Bringing Learning to Life
At Willen Primary School, we believe that learning should be exciting, memorable and connected to the world around us. Our Enrichment Cafés are a special opportunity for children to share experiences with their peers. Our enrichment programme is built around our Enrichment Framework, which ensures that children experience a rich and varied range of opportunities that extend beyond the classroom.
Our Enrichment Framework
Our experiences are carefully planned across key areas:
🎨 Arts and Culture
Developing creativity and imagination through music, art, drama, performance, literature and opportunities to explore different cultures and traditions.
🌿 Nature and Adventure
Giving children opportunities to explore the natural world, develop an appreciation for our environment and experience adventure, discovery and the great outdoors.
🏘️ Civic and Community
Helping children understand their place within their community and the wider world, developing responsibility, citizenship, inclusion and a sense of belonging.
⚽ Sport and Physical
Providing opportunities for children to be active, develop physical skills, work collaboratively and experience the benefits of sport, movement and physical activity.
🚀 Life and Future Skills
Equipping children with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need for life beyond primary school, including independence, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, resilience and exploring future opportunities.
Children from different year groups will have opportunities to learn and take part together, with activities designed to be accessible to children from Reception through to Year 6.
We have carefully planned our enrichment calendar to ensure that our children experience a broad and varied range of opportunities throughout the year, helping them to build confidence, curiosity and a love of learning.
We are really looking forward to seeing the children get stuck in, try something new and discover their own interests and talents!

Reading: We ask that all children and their families aspire to reading their school book OR any other appropriate texts a MINIMUM of three times a week. Please log all reading experiences in the Reading Records. Reading Records are checked on a WEDNESDAY and children are rewarded accordingly. Thank you for your support.
